The Outlaw Code: Our Health Guarantee

At Outlaw Maine Coons, we raise our kittens to be as sturdy and spirited as the frontier. When you take home one of our outlaws, you’re joining our gang, and we take care of our own. This "Code" ensures your new partner gets the best start on the trail.

The First 72 Hours: The "Check Station"

Before your kitten rides off into the sunset, we guarantee they are in sound health. To keep the code, you’ve got a trail to follow:

The Vet Inspection: You must have your kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours (3 business days) of taking possession. This activates your 2-year guarantee.

Quarantine the Outlaw: Keep your newcomer separate from the rest of your "herd" for at least 7 days.

Insurance Hookup: Activate your free month of Trupanion within 24 hours of pickup.

Note: If the trail isn't followed and the vet visit is missed, this guarantee is considered "voided at the pass."

Life on the Range (Owner’s Responsibilities)

To keep your 2-year guarantee active, an Outlaw must be treated with respect and kept in peak condition:

Yearly Checkups: Every outlaw needs a regular tune-up. We require yearly veterinary exams to ensure your cat stays healthy.

The Shield (Vaccinations): You agree to keep your kitten current on all core vaccinations throughout their life, including FVRCP, FeLV/FIV, and Rabies.

Continuous Insurance: You must keep your cat insured for their entire life. If the insurance lapses, the guarantee does too.

Indoor Territory: This guarantee only holds if your cat is kept strictly indoors. The wild is no place for a pet.

No Declawing: We don’t disarm our outlaws. Declawing is strictly prohibited and voids all agreements.

The 2-Year Genetic "Ironclad" Guarantee

We stand by our bloodlines. For the first two years, your kitten is protected against life-threatening congenital defects and these specific hereditary conditions:

- HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy)

- PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease)

- SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy)

If trouble's a-brewin' (Health Claims):

Send Word: Notify us via text/phone at 561-757-0661 within 24 hours of any diagnosis.

The Paperwork: Provide a written vet report (including microchip number) within 24 hours of that first notification.

The Resolution: If our vet and yours agree there’s a covered defect, we will provide a replacement kitten of equal value at our first opportunity.

Hard Truths of the Frontier

The Fine Print: We can’t guarantee against FeCV (it’s on almost every trail, affecting 93.7% of cats). Because viruses and parasites can be picked up anywhere once they leave our ranch, we aren't responsible for infectious diseases after the first 72 hours.

No Gold Back: All sales are final. While we don't offer monetary refunds, we will always honor our word to provide a healthy replacement for a covered illness.
